At Douglas Animal Hospital, community service and involvement is paramount – we strive to give back to those in need.
Below we’ve listed some of the rescues that we currently work with! Please visit their websites to learn more about their organizations!
“We rescue, care for, and re-home dogs in need. The majority of our dogs come from overcrowded shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized.”
“Our Mission is to find dogs their forever family; to speak for the abused, neglected, and abandoned; to educate adopters, reduce the number of homeless, and provide proper vet care; and to save those that need saving.”
“A Rotta Love Plus (ARLP) is a comprehensive and proactive all-volunteer advocacy organization that uses a ‘nose-to-tail’ approach to address the issues faced by Rottweilers and pit bulls.”
“Our organization provides safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for animals at risk, while working hard to find each a permanent, loving home!”
“We’re not just a legitimate organization, but a legitimate rescue that is dedicated to protecting at-risk animals and helping to insure that those most vulnerable members of our society find forever homes.”
Dr. Douglas is also the founder of GrenVet Island Veterinary Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to provide low-cost mobile veterinary care to Grenadian farmers and pet owners by veterinary professionals dedicated to offering their services to those in need.
The GrenVet team’s next Spay, Neuter and Wellness Clinic will be held in Grenada this November, and we need your help raising money for the trip! Please visit our YouCaring page to donate to our cause, which helps to provide the equipment and tools necessary for this trip!
We also have a Razoo page to donate to if you would like to help GrenVet any time of the year. You can also organize fundraisers for GrenVet through Razoo!
