Veterinarians

Heather Douglas, DVM, MBA, CVA

Veterinarian & Owner

Dr. Douglas knew from a very young age that she would be a veterinarian. This career choice guided her entire youth and she is thrilled to be able to live out her dream. Dr. Douglas graduated from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She has a strong interest in internal medicine.

In 2011, Dr. Douglas started a non-profit veterinary service, GrenVet, which provides care to animals in Grenada.

In her free time, Dr. Douglas enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and spending quality time with her adorable cats Kaya and Mr. Waffles.

Dr. Karen Green

Veterinarian

Dr. Green always loved animals, especially her childhood kitty, Spunky. She moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba to attend Veterinary College at the University of Minnesota where she graduated in 2002. After practicing in corporate practice and animal rescue for many years, she decided to move to part time to have more time for family.

On her days off, she spends time hiking, swimming, playing sports with her son, cheering on the Minnesota Loons and making sure her kitty Vader stays out of trouble.

Hospital Manager

Melissa

Melissa graduated from St. George’s University (Grenada) with her Masters in Business Administration – Multi-Sector Health Care. She then completed her A.A.S and certification in Veterinary Technology. Melissa and her husband Aaron are the proud parents of their human children Harper and Gavin and their fur child Charli. After Hurricane Harvey, Charli was brought up to Minnesota through rescue transport and Melissa knew that they had to be Charli’s forever home; it was love at first sight.
